CONSISTENCY!! THE MANTRA TO WEIGHT LOSS AND MAINTAINANCE!!

I have not used before and after pictures earlier ,but this kid inspired me to!I have always maintained that there is only one way to lose weight and maintain it and that is consistency with what we do!! This 16 year old proved it to me yet again. It was a tough ride for him initially but with some tools he made it and is still on the journey!!

Some tools used were -

* Consistency

* Followed the 80 - 20 rule of eating healthy 80% of the time and fun foods only 20% of the time.

* Used the healthy eating plate all the way to emphasize the importance of a balanced meal, and a calorie deficit was calculated.

*NEAT ( moving more)was used though it was the hardest as he had a lot to study and was sitting around more.

* He loved playing , so his mom put him into running, kick boxing/ training.

* Family support also played a very important role in his journey to good health.

There were ups and downs. But I think his consistency paid off. It took him about 3 months to get here. Some people take much longer maybe 6 to 10 months. But it is all about never giving up and trying to get there. But as I always say, weight loss is not the only indicator of health. Go through my previous posts for other health indicators. I hope This post inspired many of you to try and move into fitness. And yes, This photo was put together and shared with me by his proud mother.
